You need to double check with your doctor for what you were tested, a swab is generally a test for bacteria which can include Chlamydia and gono, NGU and trick if requested... if that is what you and your doctor talked about testing for. Just to be sure I would call your doctor and ask what you were tested for.
Thanks for the reply.
I am giving the diet a try for a week to see how it goes. Im just eating veggies and drinking lots of fluids. I am not going too extreme into it...
Anyway I have an appointment with a Urologist on Saturday, so I will go over the treatment options again and if G6PD is alright with the Meds. Like I said they took a swab from the urethra... Isn't that supposed to identify if ghonnorhea or chlamydia is present there? the only thing they identified was Candida through the same test.
Thanks
this isn't an std so you should post this in the urologist forum, I apologize for making you run around butyou can probably get a better answer there, also there are experts to each forum you can pay 15 dollars and post your question in the experts forum. they are experts who study each topic for a living check it out.
Hi,
drop the crappy diet idea. This is totally unfounded in scientific literature. If it is candida, it should respond to Diflucan pills. Are you sure these or other azoles are incompatible with your G6PD deficiency? Try to check this out. And: did your doctor try to explore other diagnoses? Did he take tests for STIs (gonorrhea, chlamydia)? I don´t think candida can be responsible for "blue balls" (whatever that is).
