Poiisble UTI or postatitis

Hello to You,

I went to see the urologist on Wednesday since I had some symptoms like pain towards the end of ejaculation. I was prescibed 625 mg CO - amoxiclav for one week and told to come back in three weeks. But since I started taking the medication I noticed that the pain at ejaculation is not anymore towards the end of ejaculation but more in middle of ejaculation

I was a bit disappointed that the urologist did not order any urine tests to confirm any suspected infection.

Anyway, like two months ago , I was also on doxycycline 100mg for 28 days for suspected prostatitis.

Can you please kindly tell me from what I have described what could it be ? Could be a UTI or prostatitis or any other infection.

Could it be the doxycycline I took tow months ago did not clear up the prostatitis and it is a recurrence happening now?

Please kindly note that I have a pain during urination . My only symptoms are pain at ejaculation and there is no blood in my semen.

Thank you so much for your advice.

I can't tell you what it is if your doctor didn't do any testing.  When you go back in 3 weeks, insist that he at least do a urine culture.

If the amox is going to work, you should see an improvement over the next week, maybe sooner.
