Would a pop smear detects the Herpes Virus?

A pap smear might detect it, if you had an outbreak on your cervix at the time of the pap.

Since that's doubtful, I would say no.  The only thing a pap smear looks for is abnormal cells on the cervix.  By itself, it doesn't test for any stds.
