Possible STD?

Hey doc, so I am a little worried that I may have some type of STD but I am not to sure what exactly I might have. Maybe you can help me out.. So basically a couple of weeks ago I developed what seemed to be some sort of rash on my thighs which made them very itchy all the time. After constant scratching I began to accidentally give myself cuts in the same region. I noticed it seemed like I had several bug bites because it felt similar to bug bites. After a few days I noticed two lumps on my testicles which seemed to also be bug bites. Embarressed to go see a doctor, I left them alone to see if they would heal on their own. After applying some cream to my thighs and the bumps everything began to slowly heal. Then, this morning I woke up with what also feels like bug bites on the shaft of my penis. (I'm uncircumcised) they are very small, red, and itch. I'm really scared that I might have herpes.. I just went and got tested today for  syphilis, gonorrhea, AIDS, & one other STD that I can't remember. I won't receive the results to those tests for a few days but am still freaking out. Help please!

Just an FYI, herpes is usually NOT similar to a bug bite, more similar to a blister or cold sore. I don't think you can easily mistake the two.

Have you checked yourself for pubic lice? They can affect the skin around the genitals even if it's not covered by pubic hair.

I can't diagnose on internet, I am not a doctor.

Types 1 herpes and type 2 herpes are totally different viruses. Type 1 tends to be on mouth but can occur in genitals. Type 2 tends to occur in genitals.

I THINK you can spread either through scratching, so try not to.

What are the chances of me having type 2 and giving myself type 1? I touch my genitals all the time and sometimes forget to wash my hands before I scratch my face when it itches. From all the information I've told you does it sound like any specific STD?

Heroes is blood test. But you have to take it 12 weeks after last possible exposure.

Make sure you get IGG not IGM.

Remember there are two herpes-1 and 2.

Many people have 1. It's associated with cold sores.

Quite a few but not as many have 2. You typically get that in genitals.

Just one time. She has been trying to have sex again but I have been making excuses not to hangout with her. Should I wait to have sex with anyone? & how does the herpes test work? I'm new to all this

Herpes IGG test is about 50% effective around 26 days.

3-4 months is pretty solid for herpes test.

So there's some risk there.

One time or many?

One time is less risk.

Get to know your testing windows. Use a condom until you reliably test negative for everything. And then after that too.

Last partner was a couple weeks ago. Around the time all this stuff started which is why I'm so worried. Didn't use protection. We performed oral and vaginal sex on each other.

Also-there are no doctors here.

I am just a person like you.

There are more qualified moderators who come by too.

Recent stuff-last weeks or months.

What sexual activities? Any protection?

Rashes can be many things other than STDs by the way.

Search this website for STD testing windows to find which things you can test for and how long you have to wait after last exposure to do the tests for different STIs.
