Possible STD or Herpes

by parnoidfreak, Jul 25, 2007 12:00AM
I went to a strip club last thursday and I got masturbation with lotion.  She also kissed my scrotum for 2 seconds before i pushed her face away.  Also she put my penis against her nipples.  On sunday night i started getting pain in my pubic hair area then the next day I got a red rash there.  No bumps just red.  I went to a doctor on tuesday he did a urine test and told me i had urethritis and gave me antibiotics.  I thought i should get another opinion so i went to another docotor in the afternoon.  He took a look and told me my glands on the sides were not swollen my pain in the middle and the rash ne gave me an ointment.  He also took blood to run blood tests.  I put the ointment and took the antibiotics and the area is better.  Should I still be worried because i heard herpes sometimes looks like razor burn or ingrown hair.  Both doctors were convinced that was not the case.  Could they be wrong?  And what could the pain in that region be from?  It starts from below my belly button and goes down to middle of my pubic area.

Thanks

You could not have acquired any STD from the exposures you describe.  If you really had urethritis, you caught it somewhere else.  You have been directly evaluated by 2 health care providers, and no online source can provide more accurate information just by your verbal description.  I see no reason to suspect your doctors are wrong.  Anxiety probably is the most likely explanation for your pain; certainly no STD causes that sort of symptom.

Follow up with one or the other of your doctors if your symptoms persist or you otherwise remain concerned.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
