Pre-***/HIV

Just recently I have performed oral sex on a guy. I never let him ejaculate into my mouth and any pre-*** that may have come out, I would spit it out and flush my mouth out with water. I was just wondering what the chances of getting HIV were from that. I'm guessing slim to none.

You are right. There is slim to no risk for HIV from oral sex. You do not have to worry about HIV from this incident. In general, oral sex is not an easy way to transmit STDs. However, there is some risk for transmitting herpes, gonorrhea, and syphilis. However, without visible sores on the penis, the risk of herpes and syphilis is low. Gonorrhea is also not easily transmitted to the mouth (even if he had gonorrhea, and it is likely he did not), but it is possible. Most cases of throat gonorrhea are asymptomatic, but you can experience a sore throat. These cases tend to clear up in a few weeks even without treatment, but you can spread it along. You likely have nothing to worry about, but it is always a good idea to get regular STD screenings when you are sexually active.
