Pregnant

I am 23 weeks pregnant. My husband cheated on me. Since 9 or so days after exposure I have been developing sores orally and vaginally. I tested tor VDRL after 21 days and it came up negative. I am still waiting on the herpes test.
I have been researching on the net and there is loads of conflicting info. I am so afraid of Syphilis. What can I do to protect the baby while I wait to restest?

Well, he was blacked out from drinking and doesn't remember what happened. He thinks he was not hard so she gave him oral but not vaginal sex. Aparently it was quick, in a bar bathroom and yes, he was in a develped country. My tests came back for gonnorea and chlamydia negative today. Thanks for the reply.

At this point the only thing you can do is wait for the testing time. The sores seem a little quick to be a STD, but I can't rule it out only tests can.
Syphilis is rare in developed countries and rare in women, so as long as you are in a developed country I would not worry too much about syphilis. But you can get other things.
Did he have protected sex?
