Prolonged Chlamydia exposure

my wife and i recently found out she was pregnant. part of that ordeal was her being tested for std's.  It turns out she had chlamydia.  I got checked out and to my surprise i didnt have it.  we have been in a commited relationship for over five years.  what are the odds of me being exposed for 5 years and never contracting the disease?  Is it even possible?

if you used condoms then yes, but if you had unprotected sex for 5 years then the chance would be very very very low. Like AJ said it could have been a false positive and if she tested again before she took the medication then it would have either confirmed that she had it or would have come up negative.
And if she had it for 5 years chances are she would have had other problems by now.
So I doubt that she has had it for 5 years, I doubt that she had it at all. It was probably a false positive.

My guess is that she had a false positive due to pregnancy.  If she hasn't taken meds yet, she can test again, but if she has, just have her test again in a month (which I'm sure her OB will be doing as well).
