Question about exposure and future unprotected sex

First of all, thank you for taking my question. I hope this can put some of my anxiety at ease.

On Friday, after a big argument with my girlfriend, I visited an Asian massage parlor. The worker performed unprotected oral sex on me and I briefly had protected vaginal sex with her. While having sex, she briefly removed the condom but put it back on me within seconds. I'm not sure why she did this, but I briefly re-inserted after she put the condom back on me, I ejaculated, but not inside her, after she took the condom off of me the second time.

There were no visual signs of any lesions or blisters on the woman. She did not seem concerned at all about the interaction. About 12 hours later, I went and had an STD test done. I now realize that it was probably too early to be reliable.

Should I feel ok about having unprotected sex with my girlfriend? I realize that oral sex is a relatively poor way to transmit only a few STDs, but I am also concerned about the taking off and putting on the condom. Thank you,

Welcome to the Forum. I'm at a loss as well to understand why your partner took off the condom and then put it on again.  Are you sure this happened?

Likewise, I understand your concerns about even a brief episode of unprotected intercourse.  There is some, finite risk but it is small.  Most commercial sex workers do not have STDs and even if your partner did, most exposures to infected partners do not lead to STD transmission.  In addition, the brevity of your unprotected exposure makes infection still less likely.

You are correct that a test at 12 hours might miss an infection which is still developing although it might have picked up an infection as well.

Can I assure you that you did not get an infection - no.  is it likely, also no.  So what would I do, for your own peace of mind, you may wish to have another screening test for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU at 72 hours or so post exposure.  If those tests are negative, as I suspect they will be, you have nothing to worry about.  until then, I would not suggest unprotected sex with your regular partner, just to be completely sure.

Hope this helps.  it's unlikely that you're infected.  EWH

With negative tests, the likelyhood that you have an STD remains small and this is likely due to something other than an STD, perhpas a yeast infection.  You need to have a clinician take a look.  While you're waiting however, as I said, the odds that this is an STD are small.  EWH

I have what seems to be a red rash at the head of my penis now. I am extremely worried. Any response will be greatly appreciated.

This morning, in the shower, I felt a slight burning/itching sensation on the lower part of my scrotum. Is this something I should be worried about?

I had another STD screening done on Monday, 72 hours after the event in question. My initial test results, from the test just after the event, were all negative.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply. Yes, I'm sure the condom was taken off because I remember telling her "no" and to put it back on before any more intercourse. Thank you again.
