Question regarding prophylactic antibiotics

47 y/o male here... thinking of ordering antibiotics online for the purpose of preventing the spread of any bacterial infection I might acquire from receiving oral sex. Cipro (500mg, single dose immediately after the "event") and Zithromax are my first considerations, but I'm having trouble finding "Z" in a single 1g (single dose treatment)... only 500mg

1. Is antibiotic use, as a preventative measure, effective?

2. Am I, in your opinion, looking at the right combination of antibiotics? Ideally, I want to keep this to single dose treatments, or 2-day max.

3. Will 2-500mg doses of "Z" have the same practical effect as 1-1g dose, or do I lose effect when taking it in two-pill form?

Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any input.

we don't recommend treating like this at all. this is part of why antibiotic resistance is so wide spread and it's something medical providers even are getting away from.

if you suspect you have something, be seen and get a proper work up and testing done and treat according to test results.

if you haven' t received oral sex yet then only receive protected oral sex if it's not a regular partner. protects you against bacterial std's as well as viral std's.
