Questions on STD testing

After unprotected sex how long afterward I should get a STD test??
1 week? 2 weeks? or more?

Yes - condoms are not 100% protection against all std's.

Vance i dont mean to come in on someone Elses Thread.but what do you think about a Negative hsv-1 and 2 test at 2 months and 1 day exactly? Ive gotten a couple different answers just wanted to hear yours.

You asked a question just days ago about testing and protected sex. And now you ask about unprotected sex. Is this just for info or did you not tell the whole truth on your first question? Or did you have unprotected sex after you already posted your first question?

For some STD's you only need to wait 3 days, others require a couple of weeks to 6 weeks.
HIV for a 95%-99% accurate test I believe is at 6 weeks. Syphillis and herpes are a couple of weeks. Gonorrhea and chlymida is at 3 days.
