I originally posted this in the HIV forum, but I'm told I don't need to worry about that.
Still my tongue is REALLY sore. After having oral sex, 5 days later my tongue became sore (felt like I burned it) I could not visibly see a difference. It has gotten progressively worse (as has my cold). I had fatgue, cough, malaise, and the sore tongue. Now, 9 days after possible exposure, my tongue is so sore that I can't even eat bread, and I have a small canker sore on the edge of my lower lip/inside my mouth.
I have been out in the cold weather a lot prior to getting sick (so maybe its just a cold), began taking a new B vitamin complex (maybe this explains the tongue soreness). I can now see faint spots where the little folds of my tongue are ulcerated, and my right lymph node in my neck is slightly enlarged.
I have a doctor's appointment, but I need to know if I could infect someone else. Is this a sign of herpes?
