Red bumps at base and in pubic area

I noticed the other day a red bump with a white tip and a hair growing out of it. I had had sex about a week and a half before i noticed it, we had sex daily before i left for training in the field. While in the field, i noticed the bump on the top of the shaft but i had to move the skin around to see it. You could see it without moving the pubic hair and skin but not easily, you just saw a red bump. But it had a white tip, with a hair growing in the middle. So i pulled the hair out, The red bump is still there, It shrunk a little, it isnt as big. But then i noticed a 2nd one 2 days later. It also has a hair growing out of it. And now, after having sex with my partner, there are multiple red bumps, they have hair growing out of them. Just one strand of pubic hair in the middle of each.

They are painless, and dont itch. Im trying to be as descriptive as possible. But they are about the size of a dot you make with a sharpie. About a centimeter.

And my girlfriend said she showed no signs of anything with her last test, We dont know what it is and we're both worried.

We're worried even more though because she is pregnant. She thinks it might be just a yeast infection that she might have cause she's able to get them more commonly when she's pregnant. But, Again, they are red bumps, where the hair folicles are, and have hair growing out of them at the base of the penis where the shaft starts and goes up to about where the hairline stops.

Hair follicle inflammation.  Totally trivial.  Everybody gets it sometimes.  Goes away by itself with local hygiene, i.e. soap and water.  If it persists, see a provider for possible antibiotic therapy.

What is Foliculitis anyway? How do you get it? And how do you get rid of it?

Sounds like folliculitis. Show your doctor. Good luck.

Sounds like folliculitis, from your description both of the nature of the lesions and their occurrence in the pubic hair area.  Nobody can say for sure without a professional exam, but I see no reason to be especially concerned about herpes. But if the symptoms persist or for further reassurance, visit a health care provider for professional avaluation.

Good luck  HH, MD
