Reoccurring ngu

So about a month ago I had sex for the first time with someone I met through my new job. About a week later he told me he had symptoms that seemed sort of like Chlamydia. He went to a doctor, got treated after a few tests, and of course was a bit upset with me. I went to two different doctors, got tested, and everything (even trich) came back negative. I explained the situation to one of the doctors and she prescribed me 4 pills of azithromycin. He was given that and the medication that treats trich. His symptoms cleared up. A little over a week after my treatment we had sex again. He just informed me that he is having symptoms again. This time I never gave him oral and he didn't even touch me without a condom on. What the hell? Our relationship wasn't just sex though. I really like this guy and he expresses the same but I don't want him to literally suffer every time we become physical. I fear that this has already ruined our relationship though and that we are left to only be friends. I have had three previous partners and have never had a problem. I have never had an std. I had one yeast infection in the past. I even took a medication for yeast because I began to have an unusual discharge after the round of antibiotics. Any ideas?

Oh, I don't think it is G. vaginalis because I have not had any symptoms at all. The only tip of anything "wrong" was that in a cervical swab the doctor saw wbcs as a sign of inflammation. Other than that, she said everything looked normal. I have not been tested for mycoplasmas etc. Only syphilis, HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis.

I am not sure if they manually examined his prostate or not but after each sexual encounter with me his symptoms reappear. His original testing came up negative. As did mine. I was beginning to wonder if I may have ureaplasma urealyticum or something like that. If he touched me and then himself, couldn't that cause him to have symptoms even if we did use a condom? His symptoms both times were painful urination and clear dishcharge. After taking azithromycin along with metronidazole his symptoms clear up. My doctor didn't give me the metronidazole because I tested negative for trichomoniasis. I took the azithromycin 4 tablets in one dose on only one day. If U. urealyticum has colonized wouldn't it take longer than one day of treatment for me to be cleared of it?

But with him taking both, I don't know which med is clearing his symptoms. It could be the metronidazole which would also cure Gardnerella vaginalis.

I guess the biggest question I have is that if it were U. urealyticum, G. vaginalis, or something else of the sort...how would I go about detecting and treating that without it being too costly? Std for us both has been ruled out and I am pretty sure that whatever it is...is from me. Another thing...I am a college student with no health insurance.

unfortunately there aren't any editing functions :(

he needs to see an urologist at this point for further evaluation. sometimes clearing up ngu is difficult. did his original testing come back as + for anything?   did they manually examine his prostate?

if you are only having protected sex, it's nothing coming from you. make sense?
