Risk of an STD from a massage?

Hello.

I have read several entries of yours in the forums. But, to make myself feel better, I thought I would ask you directly.

I am a 43yo GWM who is healthy. I saw a new massage guy this last weekend. At the end of the massage he gave me a hand job/release...which was a bit of a surprise, but okay. He was fully clothed the whole time and this was only a masturbation (him getting me off) exercise. Am at at risk of any STDs? Should I be worried? Should I get tested for anything? I am a bit stressed about this (I worry a lot) and wanted your opinion.

Your previous posts say that there is no worry about hand/genital contact (at least as I described). True? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for getting back with me. Just to be clear, there was not touching of the other person's genitals...he was just touching mine. Also, what is the risk of other STD (other than HIV) for this type of encounter?

Welcome to our Forum.  Your exposure is zero risk.  Penetration is required for sexual HIV transmission to occur.  There was no penetration and your exposure to secretions was minimal.  Thus this exposure is within the realm of masturbation which is safe sex.  No risk to you for acquisition of HIV or any other STD.  Please realize that in the course of masturbation miniscule amounts of genital secretions are sometimes inadvertently shared between partners, nonetheless there are no HIV transmissions which have occurred in this way.

I hope this comment his helpful to you.  Take care.  EWH
