Rpr test results - Is this normal?

So I got std testing for everything early in April. Tested negative for everything except for syphilis. Came back as 1:8. I retested again near the end of April cause I wasn't sure about the results of the 1st test. I got the results back today and now it's saying it's 1:16.  Is this normal for my results to go from 1:8 to 1:16 within a month? Does this mean this is a recent infection?

Hi, first of all please confirm what test you took and the negative titer levels and the positive numbers as many test are different. Usual test say 1:80 and below are negative but you need to confirm this. But most test say either reactive or non reactive and if a test is positive a second test is performed which is not the same Rpr test the TTPA for final confirmation. So asking a increase in the same test has no real validity.
