STD - HIV?

First at all - thanks for this forum.

I received and gave unprotected oral sex 3 weeks ago. I got a burning discomfort on the urethra 2 weeks ago.  1 week ago I went to my GP and was tested for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and all came back to NEGATIVE. When I went to the Doctor I was prescribed with Doxycyline and actually I'll finish the 10 days tomorrow. My concern is about the symptoms getting worse. Right now I have kind of Red Rashes on top of penis, Irritated Urethral Meatus, Burning sensation during urination, Skin itching - urticaria (mild) (mostly on arms, legs, and neck), Eyes irritation (Pink-eye), Throat and stomach discomfort (like-heartburn), Sore throat - scratchiness in the throat (mild), Heat sensation on genital area and face, Lower back discomfort (muscular soreness), Genital area discomfort (mild pain). I haven't have NO (noticeable) Discharge from the penis or rectum, NO Sores.
Right now I'm worry about any other STD that test taken are not specialized. Also I'm worry about HIV since I'm in the window period. Should I find another HIV test provider?
With the symptoms above, do you think it is a STD problem?

Thanks for your words. I going to take it easy, wait and re-take the tests in three months (I need to make sure). I really hope everything is going well. I'll post any update at the forum, it may be helpful to somebody else in same situation.

you didn't contract hsv2 genitally from receiving oral sex.

you didn't contract hiv from oral sex either. no need for any hiv testing from this encounter.

Hi Grace.
I just came back from seen my GP and he said that the little bumps on glans (head of the penis) and burning discomfort could be caused for Balanitis. However, he said I need to wait if those bumps don't become blisters and it could be HSV-2 infection.
He think the Skin itching, Eyes irritation, throat and stomach discomfort, and sore throat could be Doxycycline side effects.
I asked him for a RNA test to discard HVI soon instead of wait for the  3-6 months period, and he said it is not necessary since the odds of get HIV from oral sex are low.

Do you think I should consult a second opinion? Do you think this is an accurate diagnosis?

please do not hijack the original posters post with questions of your own!!!

plenty of responses from HHH and Dr Hook on the hiv experts forum on the likelihood of contracting hiv from oral sex .also on their std expert forum, very well thought out posts on the unlikelihood of contracting hpv from oral too.

But if you see this forum, it says that HIV is zero risk for oral sex.

other std also very low risk.... unless symptoms appear...

if more than 14 days, i think shd be okay for gonorrhea, ngu!!

doctor also mention syphilis is unlikely.

hpv is uncommon is mouth and unlikely to transfer from mouth to penis...

I have read in other forums and websites that unprotected oral sex definitely is highly risky:
"Transmission from an HIV positive receptive partner to an HIV negative active partner may occur when the active partner gets sexual fluid (semen or vaginal fluid)"
"Transmission from an HIV positive active partner to an HIV negative receptive partner is generally believed to be less common. This is because HIV is normally only present in saliva in very low levels that are not sufficient to cause infection. "

Thanks Grace for your response. Tomorrow afternoon I'll have another appointment with my GP. I'll try to be seen by a specialist.

you need to return and be seen again since symptoms haven't improved.

sounds like you have more than just a genital infection going on - sounds like you caught a cold/upper respiratory infection/flu too.
