STD CONFIRMATION

TO: DR. H.H.H.

Sorry for the novel.....

About 3 and a half months ago, i had an an encounter with a csw.  During this time i received oral sex. it was protected.  At some point i noticed some pain and in 10 seconds i stopped.  I realized two small tares on the shaft of my penis which caused me great alarm as i was bleeding.  The urethral part of the condom was still in tact.  I took all std tests in 4 and 7 days and they were negative.  On the 5th day i noticed red bumps on my penis and flaky skin on my testicles.  I started having a burning sensation on and in the glans with or without urination and rectum.  Went to my doc as i've had a prostate issue.  He gave me cipro for 2 weeks and  the pain didn't clear.  I took a test at 8 weeks for GON and CLMD and they were negative.  Ive been reading that there are antibiotic resistant strains of GON.

1)  Would you assume that my test results are accurate given the fact that i am still having symptoms?
2)  And considering the bacteria was possibly to blood is a urinalysis an effective test?
3)  Would my symptoms only be limited to my penile area?
4)  Also i took an HSV IgG nonspecific test at 8 weeks and that was negative also.  Is this accurate?

Keep in mind my bumps cleared in a few days and i am concerned because this lady had poor oral health and lesions on her arm.  I had ejaculated a day ago and then urinated.  Right after i felt a pain in the penis a sharp one and i noticed some clear fluid come out.
5) Any idea what that could be given considering my test results?
6) Could it be any other std like trichomonoliasis or whatever its called?
By the way you mentioned that it is more likely to get into a car accident than it was to test positive for HIV after 6 weeks.  I laughed at it and then sure enough i got into an accident 2 days later only to get a negative result at 88 days

Gonorrhea and chlamydia do not infect the blood through bites.  It has never happened.  And chlamydia is impossible on other grounds; it almost never infects the mouth or throat and is not acquired through oral sex.

You need to stop the extreme mental gyrations.  Stop trying to prove to me (and to yourself) that you could have caught an STD from the sexual exposure that is obviously at the center of your anxieties.  You could not have acquired an infection and did not.  Time to move on.

I won't have any furher comments.

on the mental health note... thanx for the compassion.  I already am.  the problem here is that the condom broke and if i were to have gonorrhea or clamidya and my blood was exposed to the bacteria for either CLMD or GON,  would a urinalysis be a proper test or would i need a blood test.  Im basically asking that due to the nature of this accident and no urethral exposure to the bacteria would i need a different test?
i dont want s***t free floating in my blood.
If i had it in my blood and the infection was somewhere else would that specific area need to be tested or is one test of peeing in a cup  enough?

last question...

Would treatment for this bacteria penetrate the blood and kill the bacteria wherever it is located?
i just want to be sure to move on

Thank u kindly

You have been repeatedly reassured about HIV and STDs in a number of threads on the community forums.  It is impossible to catch HIV or any STD by condom-protected oral sex.  Any symptoms you have cannot possibly be due to any STD acquired during your adventure with the CSW 3 months ago.  The "red bumps" and "flaky skin" are due to something else and have nothing to do with that sexual encounter.  Most prostate problems are not due to infection.  The pain didn't clear on ciprofloxacin because no infection is the cause of the pain (and only infections can respond to antibiotics).  To the specific questions:

1) Test results are more reliable indicators of infection than symptoms are.  You can be sure that no STD explains your symptoms.

2) I don't understand this question.  Blood in urine and testing for bacteria are entirely different; these tests don't interfere with one another.

3) Some STDs cause symptoms other than on the penis.  This fact is irrelevant to your symptoms and questions.

4) A negative nonspecific HSV test is proof you are not infected with either HSV-1 or HSV-2.  It is a highly reliable test.

5) The penis is covered with skin.  There are hundreds of causes of dermatitis and other skin problems and most of them can affect the penis.  In other words, just because it is the penis doesn't mean an STD.  This forum doesn't speculate about causes other than STD.

6) Trichomoniasis does not cause such symptoms.

Most likely nothing is wrong at all.  At most you have a minor nonsexually transmitted skin condition and perhaps a prostate condition, neither of which significantly threatens your health. You show all the earmarks of obsession to a point that likely would benefit from professional mental health services.   I suggest it out of compassion, not criticism.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
