STD Fear

I am currently extremely anxious awaiting some results and wanted your thoughts / advice.

7 days ago, I had brief protected vaginal and some unprotected oral sex with a female I did not know the sexual history of (night out).  I probably touched myself after touching her vagina.

Just over 24 hours later, I felt a sensation in my penis, not really a burning but maybe not sure.  My lips were dry, I felt a bit unwell and my foreskin looked a bit dry in one area.  Urination doesn't cause burning (relief if anything) and there is no discharge at all.

After 5 days I decided to go for a check up, the doctor at the clinic said there is a risk for gonorrhea and chlamydia due to oral and I had a urine test, awaiting the results.  The doctor said if it is negative I should come back after 3 weeks to be sure.  (I am in the UK and was NHS).  They didn't do the swab test I was a bit surprised.

I have a partner but have had no sexual contact while I await the results so am extremely anxious.  When I read the doctor forums here, they say after 3 days is ok for a urine test?  If I have it and these are symptoms for STI, is there a chance they could really be negative from the test?  My fear is if they are negative, my symptoms don't seem similar to what I read for STI's really, what do I do next?

I read about anxiety but the symptom seems too real to be that..  The doctor said dehydration can cause issues so I have started to drink alot of water now.

Thanks Vance, i think you are right..

A bath seems to relax the muscles down there and calms symptoms, so yea it shouldn't be an STD alongside the negative results.

I think maybe the anxiety has disrupted my prostate?  I remember reading in the doc forums about Chronic Pelvic Pain and the link to anxiety and I was a nightmare for a week almost having panic attacks, not sleeping a wink etc.

I am away for a week from Monday.  Will give it until then and see what happens I guess.  Maybe see the GP.

Anxiety sounds right as STD issues are always present, they don't come and go.

I went back to the clinic because of the dry skin.  The doctor seemed really unconcerned and gave me an anti-fungal for my peace of mind.  Also gave me another swab and that was clear.

The Urine test came back negative for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea afterwards, so it seems clear I don't have them and low risk for Syphilis.  No Herpes symptoms that i can see either.

I still get a bit of burning inside my penis though and maybe a little prostate trouble, where it tingles a bit between my legs.

The clinic said the symptoms were caused by anxiety, like when you get a tension headache etc.  My issue is that I am quite comfortable I don't have an STD from the results.  Is this still anxiety caused a prostate issue?  Do I have another infection not STD related?  Could I have fungal issue inside my penis?  Does anybody have any experience with this?

I don't want to keep going back to the clinic..

Keep it clean and dry and it should be fine.
Your risk was low from unprotected oral, I would not be concerned.

When I was at the STI clinic, the doc noticed my foreskin was red and gave me an emulsifier cream to was with to keep it clean.  Today on my foreskin, the red patch went extremely dry white looking for a little bit.  Do I go back to the clinic, visit a GP or just keep an eye on it and keep it clean?

Anxiety got the better of me, went for a Urethral swab while I wait for the urine test. Under the microscope Negative for NSU, gonorrhea and chlamydia.  Also did another urine test so its at over 7 days.

Hopefully means I am all clear and the swab under microscope is accurate enough at this stage?
