STD Question

Hi...
2 weeks ago my boyfriend and I of 8 months has unprotected vaginal sex. A few days a go he told me he had a dull pain in his testicles (That's the only symptom). He's the third person I've had sex with. I'm worried b/c the first time I ever had sex (5 years ago - Also, I only had sex with the first guy once), it was unprotected. I had a pap smear right after that encounter and it came back abnormal (The doctor said I probably had HPV) Since then, I've had normal pap smears (I guess it cleared up). Would it be possible for the HPV virus to still be in my body? If so, did I pass it on to my boyfriend and that's the reason he's having testicular pain? Do his symptoms sound like an STD?

It could be an std, but it might not be either.

He needs to follow up with his doctor.  It shouldn't take longer than a week to get results back, and many times they come back sooner.

Thanks so much! I have another question. My boyfriend is really upset because he is still having testicular pain (He has no pain in other places or discharge or other symptoms). He went to the doctor and they ran every test but theyre taking so long to get back the results. He's very nervous about the whole thing. I know you're not a doctor but...Does this sound like an STD?

HPV wouldn't cause testicular pain, and you aren't infectious anymore.

He should follow up with his doc.
