STD Question

by tru23, Mar 26, 2009 09:42AM
I had unprotected sex with a woman I don't not know about 6 days ago.  I don't have any symptoms but how soon can I get tested for STD's?  I've heard from 7-14 days.  If I go at 7 will it be inaccurate or should I wait the 14?  Please advise and thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks, how soon would symptoms begin to show?  In regards to your response, if I go now a syphilis, HIV, or Herpes test would be inacurrate?

Symptoms are not going to show 100% of the time for all STD's. But gonorrhea could show 2-5 days but up to 30. Chlymida in 1-2 weeks. Syphilis 21 days on average.

If you went today your tests for syp, hiv and herp will not show anything that would be conclusive.
