STD Syphilis

by inform01, Jun 30, 2009 12:45PM
I am a bi sexual male, and recently experimented and went to a gay health club, maststurbated a man's mainly rubbing the butt, scrotum and preinium. He did not touch me I made sure not to touch myself with the same hand and quickly washed my hands immediatley after. Since then I read research of the high occurance of syphilis in the gay population, and I am worried about contacting syphilis or other std's.  what is the risk or the likelyhood of me contacting Syphilis or another STD.

Syphilis is relatively common among men who have sex with other men as compared to heterosexual men and women but overall, the risk for syphilis among men who have sex with other men is quite low.  The sort of exposure you describe is no risk for syphilis.  You do not need to be concerned and do not need testing for this exposure.  I hope these coments help. From what you describe you have nothing to worry about.  EWH
