No, the treatment should work. The symptoms should be gone completly in a couple of days. if not then follow up with the Dr. Sounds like either gonorrhea or NGU.
Doxy won't cure gonorrhea, but if you've been to the doctor, you've been tested and can wait to see the results and get a prescription from the doctor.
ALWAYS take medication as prescribed and more importantly, antibiotics must be taken as directed. Usually all are taken over the period prescribed. Even if symptoms go away or you feel better, you must complete taking the meds as prescribed. This is true for any bacterial infection you may have.
Medication was prescribed by a doctor.
The treatment was ok, how long is the prescription for?
What was your exposure? Unprotected sex, oral?
Doxy was prescribed for 3 days only.
