STD concern

I have read all of your post concerning this topic and believe I know the answer but still need verification.  I fingered(finger insertion into vagina) a stripper at a strip club and she sucked on my fingers.  I know on most of the post you say that there is a low risk for std transmission of any sort.  Then on one I read it stated 'there is theoretically a chance for herpes or syphillis".  Then on another one it said there has been cases of gon. due to cuts on the fingers and this type of action. If so which test do you recommend? I am about to get engaged and would like to know if there is any reason for me to be tested for std.  The last thing I want to do is give my future wife a disease.

Thank you!

Welcome back to the Forum.  There is no meaningful risk from the exposure.  Certainly no risk for gonorrhea, cuts or not.  In theory, if your partner had a herpes lesion or a syphilis lesion inside her mouth or  vagina when you masturbated her,  you could have gotten one of those infections, just as in theory, you could be hit by lightening while reading this.  It is not a meaningful concern however  .  I urge you not to be concerned and not to worry about intimacy with your wife.  EWH

would that be genital herpes or oral herpes?

The theoretical circumstance could be related to either type of herpes.  More accurately, either type of herpes is equally unlikely to be present.  EWH

I apologize for another post and this will def. be the last but I am having a hard time grasping this concept.  If I contracted herpes 1 on my finger, it would show up on my mouth as oral herpes?  If I contracted herpes 2 on my finger, it would show up on my genitalia?  If I contracted syphillis through my finger, where would that lesion appear?  My doc. just called in doxycycline 100mg for 7 days for an infected insect bite on my leg.  Would that anrto biotic prevent a syphillis infection from forming?

Thanks doctor!

This will be the last answer you will receive from me as I sense that my answers do nothing but to fuel your TOTALLY IRRATIONAL fears.

HSV is a virus which casues infection at the site of inoculation- it does not migrate around the body.    Same for syphilis.  If you caught either on your finger, it would show up on your finger, not at a distant site.

The doxycycline would likely prevent syphilis from occurring, not that you need it.

End of discussion.  EWH
