STD concerns

I have been in a monogomous sexual relationship for over a year with no sexual health concerns.  However, I recently had an onset of severe itching, which I assumed to be a yeast infection for which I did not seek treatment.  This has continued to develop into severe pain/difficulty urinating, swollen, painful genitals, and some slight bloody discharge.  My main concern is that I had an IUD placed in September, and DO NOT want cervical cancer! My last PAP did come back abnormal, they did a biopsy and said that I shouldn't have any concerns...this was prior to getting the IUD.  My research has suggested to me that I may have HPV, under which circumstance I think I'm supposed to have the IUD removed promptly...but what if it is warts or herpes, or something else?  I'm scared.

I've had the iud since feb 08. At first i wasnt liking it cause I kept spotting and never knew when it was going to happen. Then I started getting a foul odor and i really didnt have a discharge but I soon found out that I had the BV infection. It came from the iud. My doctor gave me cream for it and now am all better

Having an IUD increases the chance of getting infection.  I would see your doctor right away.
