STD from assage parlor

by archer08, May 18, 2008 07:44AM
I went to a massage parlor yesterday. The woman there massaged my body including gentals with some ointment. I did not have sex with her. What I am worried is that is it possible that to contract STDs like HIV or Hepatitis C through the ointment or gels which presumably are applied to other customers?

No, there is no risk for that.

If that was the case, even "regular" massage would result in that, and we'd all have something.

And hep C is rarely spread through sex.  I don't remember the exact number, but its around 1% of hep c infections are the result of sex.  I wouldn't worry about hep c at all.

Hep B is sexually transmitted, but there is a vaccine for that.

But that's just information for you.  There is no risk for stds this way.
