STD from handshake after sexual contact?

by scaredman482, Mar 22, 2009 04:15PM
Hey everyone,
I was meet up with a friend of mine. He was sorta hesistant to shake my hand when we met up but i sort of made him do it.... He told me later was that right before i came over he was fingering his gf anally and vaginally, and still had some fluid on his hands.

I ate lunchabout 20 min later  and used the bathroom about 20 min after that and didnt wash my hands until then and i touched my gentials while in the bathroom.

am i at risk for any stds?
i was reading the only real possiblities i guess are gential warts or herpes but is that a real possiblity?

No, its not a real possibility.  Anything on his hands would have died by then.

But you should be washing your hands more often.  Its cold and flu season, and so many things you touch can have staph, strep or MRSA on them, and trust me, you don't want a skin infection (or worse) from any of them.

thans auntie, i was reading elsewhere on the forum that bacteria such as that can stay alive for a decent amt of time and could be spread.

since he probably shook my hand with 5 min of touching her.... are you sure thats not a possibility?

i also didnt wash my hands before i ate the sandwhich,. damn its a gross situation. could that have caused additional risk?

LOL it is kinda gross, but you really aren't at any risk here.  Assuming his hands were dry, the only thing you are going to get is grossed out.

You just have to do your best to avoid that stuff.  I recently got a nasty staph infection, and have no idea how I got it.  If you think about all the possibilities, you'd never leave your house again.
