STD or UTI

Hi,

Can anyone please help me with this? I had a partner A for about a year. I used to have unprotected intercourse with her. Never had a problem expect one time when she started bleeding during sex (no idea what that was). Later i switched to partner B. We took things slowly from rubbing the genitals (without protection) and after about 6 weeks we started unprotected intercourse. Everything was fine for a week of almost daily sex until we had sex at a very unhygienic place. It was so dirty that the girl immediately had a skin rash and i had to get her anti allergy as she was allergic to dust. The next day I started experiencing penile discharge as well as burning while urinating. I thought it has something to do with the dirty bedsheet etc and went to a gp. he gave me a shot of kanamicyn and the symptoms disappeared. After 2 days of that i again had intercourse and the symptoms came back. I got another shot and then stayed away from sex for a month. After that i stayed with the same girl for more than a year having sex thrice a week. Never had a problem. By the way the girl never had any symptoms etc. In fact during this time she had her ultrasound done for inflamed appendix and everything came out clear. I think she had some medicines for her appendix back then.

After almost 12-14 months, one day after intercourse i went to a community pool (heated water) for swimming. The symptoms came back. Same burning and discharge. This time i took it seriously and went for urine culture and sensitivity test. All tests were clear with negative nitrites, occasional bacteria, 0-5 wbc/hpf and zero growth after incubation of 48 hrs. I thought it was some uti and took antibiotics for it. it was after taking the antibiotics that i found that my urine was never tested for gonorheaa or other stds. Now there was no point of getting my test done as i had already taken antibiotics and symptoms were gone.

After finding this out i got my girlfriend's test taken. Again urine culture and sensitivity but this time we mentioned to test for stds also. Her urine tests were clear and pathogenic report came out to be negative stating no growth after 48 hrs of incubation.

If i search the internet, it says that my symptoms of yellow discharge, burning etc are that of std. My questions are that:

1:  if thats the case then why did my girlfriend's pathogenic result came out to be negative?
2:  if she is a silent carrier then why is it that her ultrasound results showed no inflammation etc in her organs?
3.  why didnt i get any symptoms again during 12-14 months in between?
4.  if i got UTI from the pool then why didnt it show in my urine culture and sensitivity?
5.  is it possible that i got std from girl A and it took 6 weeks to show the symptoms?

I need professional advise as i do not want to marry a girl who has/had std. Thanks

1. Way too long for syptoms to start to show
2. Sounds like some other kind of infection.

But again, BOTH OF YOU GO AND GET TESTED FOR EVERYTHING. THEN YOU HAVE NO MORE QUESTIONS.

Thank you vance2335 for the reply. Just two more questions.

1.Are you sure that it cant be std if i'd been with her for almost 14-15 months after my treatment and never had problem?
2.You think pus discharge and burning while urination can be a cause unhygenic pool / bed?

1. Can't say
2. No
3. Because it probably is not a STD
4. Can't say
5.Possible yes, but not likely.

Why don't you and the girl make the smart move and get tested for every STD.
