STD or not

hi, i had one night stand with girl and did not use condom during sex. after 2 weeks, i just thought that i have some symptoms for a STD. so i went to the doctor, test the specimen and positive in cocobacilli virus and had a few
epithelial cells in the result. my dr told me that i have a gonorrhea. as a treatment, he gave me some antibiotics and had it one time intake;
2 capsules of 200 mg Tergecef(CEFIXIME) and 2 tablets of 500mg Zithromax(AZITHROMYCIN Dihydrate). today is my second day after the check up and will go back again for a check up after 7 days as doctor's advised.
as i researched the virus, i learned that cocobacilli virus can be exist in garnerella vaginalis and can be treated by
Metronidazole, and etc. now my questions are:
1. should i take metronidazole before going back to the doctor?
2. assuming that my doctor had a mistake, is there any bad effect in my health after taking the medications?
3. will it be appropriate if i will discuss to my doctor about what i just learned?

please help me on this for i am in panic..thanks..
