STD or not?
So about a week and a half ago I had unprotected sex with someone and started to get signs and symptoms of an std and other various things after research. I was wondering if someone can help with a diagnosis or give suggestions on what to be tested for. Provided is a timeline, symptoms and possible causes below. Thanks!
The night: 12 days ago sat./sun.
Started drinking early around 4:30 and had last drink at max by 1:30.
Went to the bathroom numerous times then had unprotected sex with someone I shouldn't have.
Passed out after wards without going to the bathroom which usually never happens.
Woke up and finally went to the bathroom in the morning about 8 hrs later.
Afternoon masturbated and felt a little tingly sensation inside penis, most likely urethra.
Didn't think of it for the next couple of days although may of had slight tingle sensation but nothing hurting or anything. (also may have been a little clear discharge or could've been precum once or twice during this period but don't remember 100%)
Day 3:
Masturbated and felt a little tingly/burning sensation in urethra but nothing to painful.
Proceeded to drink a lot of beer again this night and went to the bathroom many times. Could notice the burning in urethra a little more but never hurting.
Day 4:
Woke up and decided to go to seek medical attention for possible causes. Got an apt. for the following monday.
Went to the bathroom maybe more than usual but have always had a problem with going often.
Felt/noticed the burning sensation more and more but still not hurting.
Day 5:
Started to feel a little lower back pain.(have had back pain randomly before so was unsure if it was related)
Still felt burning sensation randomly in urethra.
Did some research and thought it was possibly a uti, started to drink some cranberry juice and lots of water.
Went to the bathroom more than usual.(could be from increased amounts of liquid)
Day 6:
Continued drinking a lot of liquid and a lot more frequent trips to the bathroom.
Lingering lower back pain
Some difficulty sleeping due to frequent urge to urinate and back bothering me. (stress also)
Day 7:
Same problems as day 6 but back problem more noticeable when trying to sleep and frequent urge to urinate still present.
Day 8:
Go to doc apt and do a gonorrhea and chlamydia test (urine sample). Also checked for uti w/o lab and showed no signs of infection. Nurse disposed of urine before request for lab test of uti so I had to come back an hour later to give another sample to sent for uti lab test.
Still feeling burning in urethra and lingering back pain.
Given three day dose of Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim for bactirum.
Day 9:
-Lab test for urine sample show no signs of infection
-Two STD tests come back negative.
-Still feel burning sensation and lower back pain
Day 10:
Lower back pain more constant and worse while lying down.
Back pain basically on the right side and maybe side.
Still burning but back pain more trouble some than burning.
Day 11:
Today..
So i'm asking anyone who has had similar symptoms if they have an idea of what it could be or a doc who could give me an idea of what they think it is.
Symptoms:
-burning inside of penis (urethra) (longest symptom)
-lower back pain (right side for the most part)
-frequent urge to urinate/urination
-sometimes burning after urination/ejaculating, nothing unbearable ever though
-Right testicle feeling, not really pain but like something is there randomly.
-Lower right abdomen feels tight or kinda of like pulling feeling (not for long and only when lying down)
-lower sex drive or not as many erections as before
-also after masturbation erection almost goes away right away, not normal
-Noticed might not have had the same bowel movements beg of first week.
-Depressed/anxiety to know what is wrong
-Was feeling very tired but may have been from lack of sleep.
-being lazy and not wanting to do much
Possible causes I've come up with:
-Prostatis
-Chronic Nonbacterial Prostatitis
-NGU
-Trich
-Candida Yeast Infection
-Herpes
-Enlarged Prostate
-Kidney Infection?
As of now i have a recheck apt on monday and I'm planning on getting tested for herpes now to see if there are any antibodies present in blood and hopefully find neg for herp2 and than get retested after three months to see if its a new infection or if its neg. which i hope so. I will ask the doc about testing for other things like trich and prostatis in the meantime but i was wondering if someone with the same symptoms or someone in the medical field could help point me in the right direction for a diagnosis so i don't spend to much money and time on tests that would irrelevant. thanks for any input you have!
