STD or something else

by dirtydale, Nov 11, 2009 12:39AM
I am aware that I have contracted HPV in the past, but have not seen it in quite some time. The question I am proposing though has to deal with tiny zits similar to ingrown hairs on my legs and around my pubic region. It started as a rash on each side of my scrotum sac which progressively got worse. I believed that it was due to a lack of shower for 2 days or even a reaction to the baby powder I was using, but soon enough I began to develop more and more of these zit like things. My girlfriend is equally concerned/disguisted with their presence and is avoiding me in fear of contracting them herself. They have now spread to my butt and seem to be growing in number. I am concerned because I do not have health insurance and am low in funds so do not believe that I am capable of affording the cost to go to a doctor/specialist/or even planned parenthood to get this checked out. I believe that this can be a skin/bacterial occurance due to the electric razor that I have used is one that I use to trim around ears and do neck lines. I understand that I am to discontinue use of this razor as well as stop popping these upon arrival. I am just unaware of what this is caused by, what it may mean, and what other precautions I should take?

Isn't planned parenthood free?  Anyway, this is not an std.  It sounds more fungal or as  you said, simply a rash.  But to really get a conclusive prognosis, you really do have to see a doctor.  Bumps and rashes are caused by many different things that have nothing to do with stds.  And without testing or a trained eye, there is nothing definitive we can tell you.

So you are using a razor down there? If so you probably just have irritation. Also, the baby powder could have done it. Have you recently washed your underpants or sheets in a new detergent or fabric softener? That could cause it as well.
