STD test time frame

Hello,

I am a male. I took an STD test the last week of April. Results came back negative - STD free.

The last sexual activity I had PRIOR to the test was  5 weeks prior (mutual oral and anilingus on me), 4 weeks before (oral and anilingus me giving it). These happened with males. Did I take the STD test too early?  I know some STDs take longer to manifest/show up in tests. At the time, I had a routine physical and decided to get checked out for STDs without thinking it might be too early.

I am feeling well and have no signs of anything. Thank you!

Thank you so much. Based on the activity mentioned above, do you think I should retest in due time? Even if no symptoms arise?
