My question is: can you transmit or contract any STD (HIV, Herpes, etc) through

1) Fingering somebody is you have recently bitten your fingernails down very low and they are painful and red?
2) Genital to genital rubbing

You would have to be really bleeding and have a really really bad cut for that to even happen. Please post this worrisome problem in the HIV community if you need more insight. I am sure you will be given the proper advice.

Thanks for responding. Does there need to be an active bleeding lesion and would exposed and red cuticles/under-nail area not pose a risk for HIV?

1) fingering poses no risk at all. NO stds can be transmitted in this way.
2) Frottage poses no risk either.
