STD???

by PRDIVA, Jul 05, 2009 02:23AM
Hello... So I've been freaking out for the past 2 or 3 weeks... I had sex about a month ago with my boyfriend and shortly after that my vagina has been itching, burning and irritated. I've also had a white discharge (odorless).  About a week and a half ago I started experience lower abdominal pain on my left side a little higher than my pelvic bone.  It feels like somebody is jabbing their fingers into my side and the pain worsens whenever I urinate (which seems like every 5 minutes).  I don't know what it is and I'm a little scared to go to the doctor out of fear of hearing the worse.  I've only had one partner (my boyfriend) so I'm gonna kill him if he gave me an std... Somebody help =(

Is the discharge clumpy?  Like cottage cheese?  If so, that is a yeast infection.  Not an std. You could also possibly have a urinary tract infection.  Other than that, the symptoms you describe could be significant with other things.  Some std related, some not.  Go to your gyno for a proper diagnosis so you can get treatment.  Don't be so quick to think it is an std.
