STD's and the time before they show up

by IWORK2MUCH, Jun 27, 2007 12:00AM
This is the second part of my question.  How long after you have unprotected sex does it take for an STD to affect a man.  Could prostatitis have the same symptoms of having an STD?

Symptoms of STDs:

Gonorrhea: 2-7 days
Chlamydia: 7-14 days
Syphilis:  7-30 days
HIV:       2-4 weeks
Herpes:    7-30 days

As far as your question regarding prostatitis, yes, its sypmtoms can be similar to STDs. You can experience burning while urination and frequent urination as well. Also, you can experience pain in the general region of the genitals. I know b/c I have prostatitis.
