Scared about STDs

Hi,
I had an encounter with a CSW 6 weeks ago. Protected vaginal and received unprotected fellatio. Did a comprehenesive STD test on the 12th day. Everything came out negative. Did an SD Bioline HIV Combo Test on the 35th day. Even that was negative.

From exactly 2 weeks after the encounter, I've been having on and off sore throats. And mild flu. Still have it. Scared for the fact that this is one of the symptoms of ars. Please advice and help on what to do.

Thanks
Nick

Thank God, it was a false positive.

They took my blood and confirmed negative with lab tests. Can't express how relieved I am .

Extremely sorry for doubting Dr.EWH.

Thanks
Nick

Syphilis is transmitted from direct contact with a syphilis sore.

I did an SD Bioline Syphilis test last day, due to persistent throat pains. And it came out positive. I sincerely hope it was a false positive, but chances are slim. I had no visible sores or rashes or pain in the genitals. Just the sore throat and a mild flu.

But, can some experts throw light into this? Will Syphilis be passed through skin to skin contact? as I told I am very much worried about my parents and sister. Could I have passed this to them by hugging, or close contact?

Experts please help! Vance, Teak??

Hello Nick

This is really unfortunate. In fact many of us who believes in condom protected sex to avoid STDs have lost trust. Normally the doctors from this forum never had gone wrong.

Are you sure that you have Syphilis?

Except the sore throat did you experience any abnormal behaviour with gentials.. e.g, white discharge, itching etc..

Appreciate if you can share your experience..

Hi,

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Scared-about-HIV/show/2197624#post_10523635

I got syphilis from the exposure described above. While Dr. EWH told that there was no STD risk, I consider myself one of those unlucky souls to get an STD from such a no risk exposure.

This was the first and only time i had sex with someone. And I caught std .

Now I am extremely worried about my parents and sister as I hugged and kissed them on their cheeks when I visited them after around 3 weeks after exposure. I am extremely worried about my them. I heard that, that is the time when Syphillis is most contagious.
Will that pose a risk? Should I tell them about this and ask them to get tested?

I dont know what to do. I am in such an emotional state.

Please help this unlucky soul. Someone?

Heyy,

Thanks a lot for the reply brother. Appreciate it.

Whenever I try to remain calm, the occasional sore throat emerges and that really freaks me out.

Deeply regret what I have done and praying to God Almighty that I didn't catch any stds.

Hi Nick, you had no exposure to hiv and low risks for others, Most std symptoms for oral sex is a urethra irritation and a white discharge. Herpes can have flu like symptoms in the beginning but if she did not have any sores the risk would be very low as oral shedding does not occur that often. The protected vaginal is also low risk but test in 3 months if your cncerned.
