Scared

I am going for a test tomorrow. I had a freak thing happen to me and I think I have got syphilis.

I am BI and was at an adult movie. two other guy were sitting next to me and one started performing oral on the other guy. For about 30 seconds I masturbated the guy while his penis was in the other guys mouth. I always practice safe sex and did not let them do anything to me. As luck would have it after leaving I noticed I had two small cuts on the top of mu left hand. I think I got them on the side of the seat.

About 5 days later a got a small round hard red pimple on the back of my left hand. This pimple was painless and raised. It was not an open sore and it never weeped any fluid NEVER. It was simply a hard red pimple with basically no head. I even put alcohol on it to see if it was open and it was NOT.

I have no idea what it is and although it has shrunk down it is still there 2.5 weeks latter.

Reading about the syphilis sore seems to me it is an open sore or ulcer with fluid which is how you get it.
I hope this is not syphilis. If it is I am one unlucky guy.

Any thoughts?

How does one figure this sex thing? I tested NEG for ALL std's  and also had that pimple biopsied and it was neg for syphilis.

That hard, round, painless, red pimple,[that almost met the description of a syphilis sore] was right at the spot I got all that saliva on while masturbating that guy. It never was a sore though just a pimple as described above. I hope it taught me a lesson.
I wish all well please don't panic for one never knows until all the tests are in.
BTW, be very careful.

I agree after understanding the test it was only 21 days so the test would be suspect.

I need to find a DR that uses a "dark field microscope" to look at the bacteria. I am getting educated now.

I need to know sooner than latter. I guess I can wait another 3 weeks [6[ in all and the test would be much more reliable.

just one more note,Syphilis CAN be spread by saliva and I got a lot of it on my hand at that time. I will get this thing fixed and will be better off for this terrible experience.

this is not a std going on. you've had your std testing all done too early anyways.

if this is still there, see a regular medical provider. a std clinic isn't going to be very helpful for a pimple on the hand. odds are this isn't anything that needs treated but who knows what you might've picked up non-std wise from the seats in the theater. they certainly don't clean them regularly or very well and with the rates of MRSA infection out there, I'd suspect that long before I suspected syphilis or any other std as a cause.

How long do you have to wait for a reliable syphilis test? I understand it is an anti body test does that mean 3 months?

Is there a pcr test that can get results faster?

Syphilis can only be transmitted from direct contact with a syphilis sore. No matter what you think may be possible it is not. Go into the experts forum and look up syphilis, the Dr's will back up in ther posts what I am telling you.

I know as you say saliva is not infective as itself but if an open sore loaded with syphilis bacteria is in the mouth and say one [as I did] has an open cut and only the saliva contacted it, seems to me infection is possible. I guess time will really.

As you said earlier and I agree, the pimple I have although sounding like some of the descriptions of primary syphllis probably is not the same type. Mine is a hard pimple not an oped sore.

Could what be potentially infective? Saliva?

Well got tested hope all will be ok. They said 3 weeks wow lots of time to wait. The nurse didn't say much. Gave me a good looking over though. i guess I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. got the works HIV test etc. I can't wait 3 weeks for the HIV test so I'm going to get a rapid test tomorrow. If that is NEG I won't sweat the other stuff.

I guess all I was asking is if one had a sore either on the penis or in the mouth while sucking wouldn't it mix with saliva and therefor be potentially infective? have a great day

true Vance but how about if he had a sore in his mouth or the other guy had one on his penis. wouldn't it be in his saliva and therefore on my hand?

Saliva does not tansmit syphilis. As I said you have to come into direct contact with the syphilis sore to get syphilis.

thanks for the comment. I agree the pimple seems not to be a sore but it is in the location where saliva could get to it. I know saliva was there because I remember thinking I'm getting fluid on my hand.
it is just behind the rear knuckle between my thumb and index figure.

This has nothing to do with syphilis. To start you have to come into direct contact with the syphilis sore, so unless you were masterbating him with the back of your hand you could not get a syphilis sore there. Also the description does not match up to a syphilis sore and getting a syphilis infection on the hand is almost zero possibility.
