Scrotum turned red after protected sex

Scrotum turned red after protected sex

Hi,

I had sex for the first time with my girlfriend the other day.  We were both virgins and we used a condom.  Since I have an erection problem we didn't get to finish becuase i couldn't keep hard long enough, so I did not ejaculate..  That night while I was sleeping I felt slight biting pains in my testicles.  The next mourning also.  By mid-day the pains had gone away but now my left side of my scrotum is red.

There is no pain, itching, or really any different feeling from my scrotum, but the redness won't go away and its now 2 days later.

Do you have any ideas what this could be? Or how to make the redness go away?

Thanks for any help,
AlamLand48

Thanks for the fast reply.

How long did it last for you?  And also what did you do to get rid of it?

Thanks,

My is still there every time I have sex... Every time I have sex, the bottom of my penis the base gets all red as well.

Herpes etc..>STD don't come and go...So , the doc just says its blood flow...After 2 minutes, the penis turns normal color.

it's just normal blood flow.

But is it normal for mine to still be red after 2 days?

Yes..Testicles color and size change every minute due to heat and moisture. I can be 100% sure you don't have any disease, but you can get checked out by a doctor.

Your fine...Does it cause any pain , sharp pain or weakness ?

No, that's not as normal, but since you were both virgins, it can't be as std.  If its still lingering in a few days, you might want to get this checked out.

No i feel no pain, or weekness.  I tried taking a cold bath, and even icing them.  This seemed to make the redness go down a little bit, also there is small peelings,

Oh peeling skin usually indicates a fungal infection.  You can try an over the counter fungal cream, like lotrimin, but it might be best to see your doctor.

Ok, thanks a lot.

Also, do you have any idea how i could have gotten a fungal infection?  Was it from the sex?

It might be if its yeast, but you can get it when you sweat a lot, sit in a wet bathing suit for a long time, take antibiotics - sometimes it just seems to happen with no explanation.

Well I am a lifeguard so the bathing suit is a good explanation.  Even wearing a condom its possible to get from sex?

Yes, because these things are spead via the skin, and the condom doesn't cover all the skin.

I wouldn't worry so much about this though.  You have a perfectly logical explanation for your symptoms.

I beleive your right on the fungal infection becuase it is starting to peel more.  Would Cortaid work?  Or is Lotrimin a different product?

Thanks,

Also, I've noticed that my left testicle(the one that is red) is now always lower then my right.  My testicles are always down now to.  Farther then normal, and they are pretty moiste to,

Im not sure if this helps but let me know,

Thanks,

Hi there -

Changes in the shapes of your testicles are not from any infection.  It has probably always been this way - no one has perfectly symmetrical anything- ears, feet, breasts, eyes, etc., - so you might just be noticing this now since you are paying more attention.

Having a fungal infection can make things moist.

Lotrimin is probably better for a fungal infection.  That's an antifungal, and cortaid is hydrocortisone, which is used for things like irritation, redness, itch, etc.

Ok,

Well should I hold off on the hydrocortisone then and wait until i can get Lotrimin?

Or should I keep going with the hydrocortisone.

Ok scratch that last post.  I went to my local store and they didnt have any Lotrimin.  They did have Tolnaftate ainti-fungal cream so i took that.  Let me know if this is a better cream to use.

Thanks,

I've applied the cream last night and tonight.  I noticed that when I rub the cream in there is a burning feeling.  And also i am peeling often.  Is this normal?

Thanks,

Yes.  If the burning continues or intensifies, stop using it and see if you can find lotrimin.

How bad is the burning?  Is it bad enough that you want to stop using it?

No, its a slight burning.  I don't even feel it now.  It just happened the first 2 times i applied it.
