Sex with Prostitute - Condom breaks!

Hi,

I have already posted previously on medhelp and the responses have always been helpful.

I recently had sex with a prostitute, unfortunately the condom had broke while having sex. I dont know how long my penis was exposed in her vagina for. Coulbe be 2 minutes like it could be 5 minutes.

I would like to know the possible risk of HIV or any other std. She did not seem to have any type of herpes on her vagina.

Also once this happened i had a heart to heart with her concerning whether or not check gets tested often. She told me that she also is paranoid with these things and that she gets tested often as well. The was 22 years old and didnt not seem to be a drug user.

Also now i want to know how long should i wait till i get tested. They say that for HIV i should wait 1 or 2 months, but what about for any other std? How long should i wait till i go to the clinic?

Are HIV infection rate high?

Your help is greatly appreciated, any info you may have would be great.

Thank you!

You keep returning to the forum with anxiety-driven questions about low risk events.  You need to get out of the habit of having sexual exposures and then coming to the forum for advice about risks and what to do about them.  the answers always are the same.  Further, your primary concern being HIV, this is the wrong forum.  Please scan that forum for innumerable discussions about the low chance your partner had HIV, the near-zero risk of transmission in this sort of circumstance, and lack of need for HIV testing.  As for other STDs, the risk also is low but if you are concerned you can visit your primary care provider or your local health department for STD testing.  Urine tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia are valid a few days after exposure; a blood test for syphilis can be done after 6 weeks.

Unlike your many other threads, we're not going to have any continuing follow-up comments or questions.  I will not have any further replies.
