Sex with Transexual Escort

Hi,

I just had protected oral and anal sex with a transexual escort. I received the oral and penetrated her. What are my risks of any sort of STD / HIV infection? I'd like to think they're low, but she provided the condom and she put the condom on me. This is the first time I ever did something like this so I'm obviously nervous.

Any reply would be great.

Vance,

THAnks for the quick response. I have read that anal itching can be a symptom of herpes -- how do you know so certainly that it is not related to an STD? Thanks again.

Hi again Grace,

I was wondering if you could answer another question of mine. Recently ( in the past month or 1.5 months), I've realized that Ive been experiencing a lot of anal itching, and sometimes theres blood in my stool. Could this be an STD related to my protected expereience w/ the transexual escort? I did not receive any anal or analingus, she merely fingered my anus for a bit. Could I still have gotten an anal STD from that exposure?

Thanks!

Hi again Grace,

Sorry to bring this topic up again, but this past Wednesday (exactly 2 weeks after potential exposure) I've come down with a really bad cold: really runny and stuffy nose, congestion, sore throat. Like i said, exactly two weeks after! Should I get tested for ARS? No fever, but im sitll freaking out!

that was not a risk for hiv.  even if you had had sex without a condom, the odds are incredibly low of contracting hiv from a one time encounter.

really, don't worry about things that aren't worth worrying about!!!

hi grace,

thanks again for your response. I'm still worried about HIV because the escort put the condom on for me and took it off for me as well after I ejaculated...and therefore I wasn't able to inspect the condom. I'm just worried that it broke because I wasn't able to see if it did or not. She said it didn't break but i'm obviously still worried...thoughts? thanks again.

why in the world are you concentrating on hiv as a cause of your symptoms? you had protected sex and I never mentioned hiv even as a risk for you!!

sore throats aren't std related most of the time. it's that time of the year when most folks have coughs, colds and sore throats - you get those from kissing others as well as touching surfaces and even just breathing within 3 feet of another person!

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to clarify my question. I guess a better way to put it would be: if my current flu like symptoms ARE indeed because of ARS, then wouldn't a rapid HIV test come out positive?

Hi Grace,

Thanks again for your response. As of right now, 36 hours after the potential exposure, I've been feeling tired and my throat's been sore. I'm nervous that these are symptoms of ARS-- would I be able to get a rapid HIV test just to rule out that this is the case ( and that my symptoms are just a cold)? I know that I wouldn't be able to rule out HIV, but just these symptoms of ARS.

could be too much anxiety causing you to feel this itch, irritation or even a fungal infection. if it continues, be seen for a proper exam.

when to test for what is explained in our read before posting post on the forum.

Hi Grace,

Thanks for the reply. Right now I'm experiencing some itch on my testicles and I'm wondering if its all psychological or if its possible to show symptoms of an std within 24 hours of contact.

Also, when is the soonest I can test for stds?

protected oral sex is no risk.

protected anal sex is a risk for herpes, hpv and syphilis.
