Should I still be worried about syphillis?

I received oral sex from a girl I met on October 28, 2008.  On January 16, 2009, I noticed a sore on the shaft of my penis.  On January 25, 2009 I had an STD test done including an RPR, which all came back negative.  Should I still be worried about Syphilis?

No, a syphilis sore would show in about 21 days. 3 months would be too late for a syphilis sore. And with your negative test, I would not be worried.

Everything I've read online about syphilis reflects what I have shown.  I've read that the chancre could show anywhere from 7-90 days, then go away in about 3-6 weeks without treatment (which it did).  Also does a syphilis chancre scab up? Because when I first noticed it, it was a scabbed sore then the scab came off when I took a shower and dried off.

Extreme cases in 90 days. Most in 21 days.
The only thing you can do now is go and get tested again. I see no reason since you did test and chances are if u had syphilis the test would have been positive.

I agree.  Have you had this examined or did you just get the test done?

I got the bloodtest done on January 25th but not a scrape test or anything.

A blood test will pick up syphilis 6 weeks after exposure. So the time frame is right and you tested negative. I would believe your test. But like I said you can always test again if you want to ease your mind.

Did a doctor see the sore?  I'm asking because there are many other things that can cause sores on your genitals, and you should maybe start looking for another cause.

Yeah the doctor saw the sore but after it looked like it was almost gone.  But I did have a really bad cold about two weeks prior to me noticing the sore.  It was probably the worst cold I've ever had in my entire life.  Does anyone know if a syphilis sore scabs up, or how deep it is?  Because mine was almost flush with my skin.

By the way thank you both for your responses and help so far.

You can google syphilis sore and see pictures of them and see if it looks like yours.
