Should I worry about STD

Late November I received unprotected fellatio from an escort for about three minutes. 9 days later I noticed burning with urination, so I went to a clinic. I told the PA the situation and I provided a urine sample. The urine sample was not much because I didn't have to go but I put about 1 1/2 inches of urine in the cup.  They did a preliminary test there and said there was an abnormal high white blood count. The PA gave me a prescription for four zithromax tablets and a ten day, two a day doxycycline tablets. When I left the clinic I noticed my penis hole had crust later in the day (looked like dry semen that I didn't wash off after masturbating, but I didn't masturbate).  Five days later I called back and my urine that was sent out tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea.  I took my pills as prescribed, but some days I didn't have a lot of water an I always took the doxy with food bc it hurt my stomach.  The one time zithromax I took on an empty stomach. I even took two doxy for four additional days bc I had some left over from another prescription unrelated.  Doxy two a day for 14 days, zithromax one time.  14 days later I'm still having some problems. My penis hole looks very moist and it burns when I pee (not sure if it is psychosomatic).  What is the probability that I am cured?  Also, could it be something else?  Could I have sex again with my partner without worry?  I have also masturbated a few times over the past week, any effect?  I need peace in my mind.

Welcome to the Forum.  Your test results led the PA to make a diagnosis of non-chlamydial NGU which is the most common STD to occur following receipt of oral sex.  Recommended therapy is EITHER a single 1.0 gram dose of azithromycin or 7 days of doxycycline 100 mg taken twice daily for 7 days.  Thus you were treated with the equivalent of 3 recommended courses of therapy.  You should be quite comfortable that your treatment was effective and do not need follow-up or to abstain from unprotected sex with your regular partner.

Masturbation would have no negative effect on the effectiveness of therapy.

I hope this helps.  You are clear.  EWH

It feels as though there is something still in my urethra, does it take some time to heal?

What are the odds that I am cured?  My one concern is that I was taking the doxy with food; will that weaken the medication?  Like I said before, my urethra looks very moist and I want to know if that is an issue?
