Shyphilis Treatment

I have been diagnosed with the above and my dillution is 4.I have got pencillin injections two times and will be getting another dose next week which will be the last one until October when I go for another test to see how much it has decreased.Just wanted to know how long till my VDRL test will show negative results.Its normally six months.Right?

You may never test negative on the VDRL test - especially if you've had this a long time.

When you go for future testing, you should be getting confirmatory testing like a  FTA-ABS or TPPA or TPHA  test. If they are negative and your vdrl is +, you are fine.  Your VDRL should drop though .

i have been diagnosed with the same thing and been in this satuation for 10 years. Your tests might never been negative.Did the do the lumbar punchure? i got treated twice and my results never went down. i have to get tested every tree month. and its really a mystery bc noone can tell you whats going on. They cant give you a definat answer if you cured or not...the only way is a lumbar puncture and suposebly its really unplesent. i might have to get it eventually, dont know. its scarie bc we do not have any control over it and its suck. I am sorry..i am not trying to scarie you... i am just trying to be honest. Hope you will get cured.
