by Kingtypo, Dec 22, 2008 08:40PM
Hello, I am 14 years of age and have never had sex. I recently cut my pubic hair, and about a week after that noticed a small red bump on the base of my penis. This bump is not sore, just red. I am concered if this a infection or if I have stds? or if this is normal..? Please help. Thanks!

If you've never had sex or oral sex, it can't be an std.

Its probably an infected hair follicle.  If it lingers, see your doctor, but it should be fine.

Thanks for the help, I was beginning to get worried. This should go away on its own after awhile shoulden't it?

I don't see any hairs actually coming out of the bump, or any that close to it. Do you still think its a hair follicle?

It could be.  You've never had sex, so it can't be an std.
