Small red dot, discoloration on head of penis

I already have an appointment for an exam coming up but I would be looking for a little reassurance so i can sleep between now and then.

I've noticed one very small, red discoloration or dot on the tip of my penis. I've been in a monogamous relationship for 6 months so I don't have much in my past to make me too nervous about. Still, it is a little odd. There is no puss or swelling or pain or anything like that - just the discoloration.

I've read around and seen some posts that attribute this type of thing to yeast. I'd be quick to say that it might be that since my girlfriend very recently had a yeast infection - BUT we've always used a condom. So i'm not sure.

Any ideas?

Bumps can be so many different things, it's hard to say one way or another. Most of the time bumps are non-STD related.

Thanks for the comment. This doesn't quite answer the question though because it's not a bump! No bump at all. Just a red dot, a discoloration.

Bump, dot, discoloration, rash...all are common questions and my answer applies to all of them. Common and most of the time non-STD related.
Sorry the first time was not clearer, sometime because so many questions are the same I write something that is right but has a few words that are not matching up to the situation like bump instead of dot.
