Small red dots on tip of penis

I have been having protected sex.  With a spermacide and after a while I found very small red dots on my tip of my penis.  There is not bursting of the small red dots or anything like that, and they don't itch.  I have not have sexual intercourse in a while and they go away and come back sometimes without having sex.  So what do you think it is????

I don't know what to make of painless (?) dots that don't go on to cause blisters or opens sores or scabs.  If that describes the problem, you need to be checked for herpes.  Otherwise, see a health care provider (perhaps a dermatologist) when the spots are present.
