So scared that I have herpes

Hi, I'm a 22 year old female and I'm experiencing some signs and symptoms of a few common STDs such as painful urination and discharge. These symptoms started about a week ago and they are accompanied by vaginal burning and tingling. Sometimes it feels like my anus is tingling, too. I'm afraid this is herpes, but I have no lesions or blisters. I've had 3 exams in the last week and all three doctors have told me that my cervix and vagina in general look perfectly fine. My test results don't come back for another few days, but I'm freaking out in the meantime. I have had a lot of sexual partners, some unprotected, some protected, but I've been in a monogamous relationship for the past 6 months and these symptoms just now started. Is this HSV2 with mild symptoms? I've been on doxycycline for 4 days now in case it's chlamydia, but it hasn't gotten better. Yesterday I started my period and I didn't feel any discomfort at all during the entire day, but today it's back. Please help! I'm beyond scared at this point. I had a Herpes PCR test yesterday and the results will be back in 2 more days. Is this test accurate? Blah, I'm going crazy.

Yes it would be of value for viral shedding but would not exclude you from having herpes at all as shedding does not occur that often. If urine pcr tests could let a person know where they are infected with even 90% accuracy, it would change the world in diagnosing herpes but this is not so. Herpes location is only determined by a swab of a new sore.

Hi :) I tested negative for yeast, UTI, and BV. I'm just waiting on chlamydia and gonorrhea test results. The doc who did the PCR urine test told me that if I'm experiencing viral shedding from herpes it's the best test to do since a herpes blood test won't tell me if the herpes is oral or vaginal. I'm only concerned with vaginal herpes, I've never had a cold sore and something like 80% or people have oral HSV1

Hi, your symptoms  really dont appear herpes related but more of a yeast infection as you did just get your period. With std,s your symptoms would be more for gono and chlamydia and the discharge would be coming from your urethra most often. Trich would come from the vaginal area but would be most often green.
If you did not have a sore to swab having a pcr of the blood is not of much value in confirming herpes. When looking for herpes a herpes select igG type specific blood test would be needed.

The tingling is not herpes. You will have open, painful lesions if you had herpes.  I would advice you to take an HIV test if you had multiple partners because of the unprotected sex. .
