Btw, Baller, I posted in the Dr. forum and got a response.  All positive things.  Medically, I think we're fine.

I learned a lot of what I know from just reading the Dr's responces. And after some research on the Dr's they are some of the best in the field of STD and HIV.

That is great...this site has kept me sane and really helped inform me. The doctors seem to have great reps and tons of knowledge.

Thanks again for being patient and explaining things...I feel better.

Basically came here 2-3 years ago with the same questions from a dumb mistake. After I got my answer I started to read a lot on here and from the Dr's on this site and other sites to educate myself. Then I started to answer questions. Wanted to kind of work off my sin and give back.

Vance thank you for all your help. Out of curiosity and respect, do you do this sort of thing as a living? Or just an area of expertise.

The one thing that is kind of confusing to me is NGU.  I have been experiencing some discomfort in my groin area, though no discharge or pain while urinating.

It seems like the most likely infection you'd get from an unprotected BJ is NGU.  It seems like the other stuff is really unlikely for the reasons above.  Therefore, if you had any infection it'd likely be non-chlamydial NGU.

From what I've read from the Drs, this means that even if you DID catch something that resembled an STD, it wouldn't be dangerous to your partner because it's caused my "normal" bacteria in a woman's mouth.  This is all assuming Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are ruled out by a test.

Is this accurate?

Even if you had a 100% chance of getting say gonorrhea, you still have less then a 1% chance of getting oral from a person with oral gonorrhea. But of course you have a lot lower risk then 100% of getting gonorrhea.

Thank you Vance. This stuff can be equally confusing and scary especially when you go to other medical sites that make the risk sound that much greater.

It's only been a few days but there are no symptoms yet which has also helped relieve me a bit.

Well numbers are just numbers but let me try to help. Say in your area there are 1000 cases of gonorrhea each year. Well that number for men and woman is about 1/2 for each so say 500 were women. And only about 25 of those would have it orally.

So say there are 100,000 women in your area. Your looking at a .00025% chance that you got oral from someone who has oral gonorrhea. Then to pass it on your looking at a number even that much lower.

Of course numbers will be different in each area but your risk is less then 1% and probably much lower then that.

Just the percentages, odds and likelihood of having contracted something.

I know you had mentioned this was low risk but there I just so much info out there that is keeping me quite worried.

I guess I am just looking for a little more reassurance if that is possible.

Thank you Vance.

I am getting tested today. My only symptoms are an upset stomach and some mystery groin pain, though not in the penis tip.

I'm hoping they will give me meds to preemptively treat anything like gonnorhea and ngu

Hey Baller.  I can sympathize.  I did the exact same thing a week ago and I've barely been able to concentrate on anything else.  As a result, I've done a lot of research and this is what I found*:

*btw, if anyone wants to challenge any of this information below, please do.  I am not an expert.

The risk for getting any STD from one instance of receptive oral sex seems to be very low.  The most likely STD you would get be gonorrhea or NGU.  In order to get either of these bacterial infections, the dancer would have to have a bacterial infection in her throat and she'd have to have passed it on to you.  The odds of contracting an infection like this from one single instance of vaginal sex is 20% if you are the man.  Oral sex likely much lower, especially it it wasn't deep throat.  And that's assuming that she had an infection.  I'd say the odds of catching NGU or gonorrhea from this event is less than 1/100.  If you show no symptoms in a week or two it's more like 1/1000 that you have it.

There is also the very unlikely chance that the dancer had syphilis in her mouth.  In this case, she'd have to have an active sore on her mouth.  The odds of this occurring IF she had syphilis seem to be very low since a person is only contagious for a small percentage of the time.  The odds of her having syphilis at all is just as low as it's a pretty rare disease in the USA (assuming you're from the US).

Finally, she may have Herpes in her mouth.  1/4 adults have HSV-1, which is the kind that typically causes sores on your lips.  If you've ever had a sore like that you'd be immune to HSV-1 anywhere in your body and thus not at a risk.  If you weren't immune, someone with HSV-1 is only contagious about 1/30th of the time.  There is a small risk that she had HSV-2 in her mouth.  This is also rare, and usually occurs only once and then doesn't reoccur in the mouth.  This could expose you to genital herpes (HSV-2).  But again, I believe that in this very unlikely event you'd still have a 1/30th chance of getting exposed.

So my reading has told me in summary that you and I:

-have a low (1/100) chance of contracting gonorrhea or NGU
-have a very low (less than 1/100) chance of contracting HSV-2, syphilis, or even HSV-1
-overall probably much lower than 1% chance of getting anything

Regardless of theoretical "risk" I cheated on my wife and that's the worst part.  The thing is that I've had plenty of unprotected blowjobs in the past and never felt this way.  I think I am going to get tested for gonorrhea and NGU and syphilis - and treated for all of them just to be sure.  Hopefully we can use this experience to be more responsible.
