Sore Throat

by NervyNancy, Oct 15, 2008 03:38PM
Kay, so I performed oral sex on a new partner with no prior knowledge about his sexual history. A day or so later I developed a sore throat, with bumps on my tonsils and the back of my throat. Five days later, now, the sore throat is pretty much gone, but I feel sick (like nausea, but not as severe) and I'm cold a lot. I don't know if those are even relavent symptoms. I know it's more likely to be strep throat than an STI or anything, but that almost worries me more! Is it possible to give my partner strep-penis?? lol

No you can not give that to your partner. Chances are it is just a virus. It could be gonorrhea, but most men show symptoms and oral gonorrhea most of the time is asymptomatic.

If you are really worried you canhave your throat swabed and tested for gonorrhea.
