Sore throat after giving oral sex?

I gave my girlfriend oral sex last saturday and about two days later I came down with a sore throat, I'm not sure if it is strep or not.  I have bumps in the back of my throat which I'm not sure if it's something to be concerned about or not.  Anyway my nose has been somewhat stuffed up and it has been kind of difficult to swallow.

But... last year I gave my then girlfriend oral sex and came down with a horrible case of strep throat.  I hadn't given any oral sex since then until now and I'm worried that it could be something serious because I got sick again.

Could this be caused by some sort of std?

You have a cold/.stuffy nose. You have a sore throat.  If you are concerned that this is more than just a sore throat related to your cold/stuffy nose, see your provider for a proper evaluation.

Have you and your gf had full std testing prior to being intimate?

not std related. std that would infect the throat is not a risk when giving oral sex.
